Not your mother’s shoe inserts
So, this isn’t particularly a childfree post, but what the heck. This blog is meant to be about life without kids (the fabulous life without kids!) and this somewhat applies.
Being the fashion-forward chicka that I am, I do have quite the collection cute, sexy shoes. After all, I’m not restrained to wearing Keds because my feet have not stretched and swelled from pregnancy and childbirth. With fall around the corner, I’ve been on the look out for cute, cooler weather shoes, but there’s just one problem. I have SUPER narrow feet so most pumps fall off my heel as I walk. That’s just not sexy. This is one of the reasons in the winter, I’m a huge fan of boots.
However, I was doing a bit of boutique window shopping when I came across the cutest pair of Nine West slingbacks. Originally $89.99, these babies were marked down to $13.99! There was just no way I could pass that up. When I get them home, I remembered one little detail. I have never been able to get slingback straps to stay up on my feet. What was I to do?
A friend of mine told me about Foot Petals and told me that they were fantastic. Nothing had worked for me before, so I decided to give their Strappy Strips a try. These actually worked! I.am.amazed. I can’t wait to try their entire line up. Unlike those icky gel inserts (which always made my feet sweat and just feel icky) these are a foam-ish material that actually keeps them dry, and if someone happens to spy your insert in your shoe, no worries. Unlike the gunky blue inserts, these come in cute shapes and designs such as zebra and leopard print. Too cute!

So ladies, try them out. Why should we have to suffer in our shoes more than we have to? There’s nothing like looking (and feeling) fabulous to kill a bad mood.

While I don’t tend to slip, I do get a case of sweaty soles, giving me this fantastic little squeek that makes my stride down the hallways all the grandeur of a rubber duckie. I shall definitely look out for these.
